Calling all writers who love the ocean!

Do you have a favorite story about the ocean that you are willing to share?  I’m seeking submissions for an ocean anthology to be published in 2008.  The anthology is designed to celebrate and acknowledge the power of the ocean, its majesty, its mystery, and how it so deeply and intimately affects all of us who share this planet. All stories submitted also will be posted on www.healtheseas.com so that we can collectively use the power of our words to help heal the seas.

Submission Guidelines

1) Share your story/artwork – Topics can range from your most harrowing experience at sea to your favorite fishing tale --- whatever story draws you to share.  The tone can be serious, humorous or magical, just make sure the writing flows from your heart.  Length is in the range of 1500-2000 words. Artwork should be in a pdf format.

2) Submit your document—Please submit your document as a Word file and provide me with an email address and phone number should I need to get in touch with you.  Please also indicate what information about yourself that you would like readers to see. I can put a brief paragraph about you, your work, a link to your website, your email address, etc., and am happy to do so.  If you’d like to be published anonymously, that’s okay, too, just let me know how to get in touch with you in case I have any questions.

3) Give me the right to post it – By submitting a document to www.healtheseas.com, you give me the right to post your work without compensation or reservation.  Should I select your submission for Healing the Sea with Words, I will contact you to seek your permission to do so.
